Heading inside, to their surprise they discover six female Yugs cowering behind some crates, along with ramshackle blacksmith's and alchemist's stations. On realising that they can communicate with Wei the Yugs plead for their lives, saying they just wanted to be left alone to continue with their work.  The Yugs outline the trip they took, including such wonderful sights as: A giant cliff, on which they were attacked both on the descent and at the base by flying predators; friendly fungi, unfriendly fungi, a great empty wasteland, a giant lake, and many, many spiders. The group dwell on this information for a while, then head deeper into the cave.
